Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
1. About These Terms
These terms govern the use of this website and any roofing services provided by D Campbell Roofing. By requesting a quote or contacting us, you agree to these terms.
2. Estimates & Quotes
Online estimates provided through our quote form are a guide only and are based on the information you supply. A fixed, written quote is provided after a free site visit. The written quote is valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.
3. Site Visits
We offer free, no-obligation site visits to assess your roof and provide an accurate quote. Appointments are subject to availability. We will agree a convenient time with you in advance.
4. Accepting a Quote
A quote becomes a binding agreement once you accept it in writing or verbally and we confirm the booking. Any changes or additions to the agreed scope of work may affect the final price and will be discussed and agreed with you before being carried out.
5. Payment
Payment terms will be stated on your written quote. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due on completion of the work. For larger projects, staged payments may be agreed in advance. VAT is not applicable unless stated on your invoice.
6. Insurance & Guarantees
D Campbell Roofing is fully insured with public liability cover. Any workmanship guarantee period will be stated on your written quote. Manufacturer guarantees for materials (tiles, felt, etc.) are passed on to you subject to the manufacturer's own terms.
7. Access & Site Conditions
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the roof and property. You must inform us of any known hazards, asbestos, or access restrictions before work begins. We are not liable for issues arising from undisclosed site conditions.
8. Cancellations
You may cancel a booking by giving us as much notice as possible. If work has already commenced or materials have been ordered, you may be liable for costs incurred up to the point of cancellation.
9. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period (Off-Premises & Distance Contracts)
Where your quote is arranged following a visit to your home or otherwise away from our business premises, or where the contract is concluded online, by telephone or by email, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days without giving any reason. This right applies under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
The 14-day cancellation period begins on the day on which the contract for the roofing work is concluded. To exercise this right, you must inform David Campbell at Dcampbellroofing@yahoo.com or on 07541 412109 of your decision to cancel by sending a clear statement (e.g. an email or letter).
If you request that work begins within the 14-day period, you expressly acknowledge that you are waiving your right to cancel once the work has been fully performed. Where work has been partially performed before cancellation, you may be liable to pay for the work carried out and any materials ordered up to the point we receive your cancellation notice. Any refund due will be made within 14 days of receiving your cancellation.
10. Website Use
This website is provided for information and quotation purposes. We make every effort to keep content accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that all information is complete or current. You may not use this site for any unlawful purpose.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
12. Contact
For any questions about these terms, contact David Campbell at Dcampbellroofing@yahoo.com or on 07541 412109.
